OBJECTIFICATION

With my project Objectification, I sought to explore this correlation between grammatical gender and real-world perceptions of gender. By visually reflecting on the semantic value of inanimate objects, I aimed to challenge the gender assignments that we take for granted in our everyday language and culture.

Each image in this series focuses on a different object, presented in a way that challenges traditional notions of gender. Through careful composition and lighting, I sought to draw attention to the object's form and function, rather than its supposed gender. By breaking down these linguistic barriers, I hope to encourage viewers to question their own assumptions and expand their understanding of the world around them.

As this project continues to evolve, I'm excited to see where it will take me and what new connections and meanings will emerge. Through the exploration of gender and language, I hope to create work that is thought-provoking, challenging, and ultimately transformative.
